Volunteering at Samizdat 2025

Volunteers are crucial to events like Samizdat, to help make sure the festival runs smoothly and everyone has a positive experience. Our volunteers will be responsible for welcoming guests, selling merch, and checking tickets; assisting with photography and social media; collecting event feedback; and generally being on hand for event set up and takedown or technical support.

As a volunteer, you’ll get access to our screenings, meet everyone on the team and learn more about how the festival runs, and get some lovely merch! We will also be able to reimburse local travel to and from The Pyramid at Anderston, and offer £6 towards a meal each evening you’re volunteering with us.

We are looking for volunteers for three key dates of our Glasgow run: Wednesday the 1st, Thursday the 2nd, and Saturday the 4th October. We ask that you please only apply if you’re available for two of these days.
