online Programme

ABout

Our online programme is available from 31st October to 13th November, and features a selection of our 2025 festival picks, including:

  • 5 films from Ani-Masters: Pioneers of Czech Animation, a sweeping overview of the astonishing creativity and innovation of several Czech ‘Ani-masters’. One of the most renowned film traditions globally, 20th-century Czech animation is known for its craftsmanship, political and social subversiveness, and often surreal storytelling.

  • 5 films from our Short Film Competition, with titles from Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Qazaqstan, and Serbia;

  • 1 of the contemporary documentaries from this year’s Ukrainian cinema strand, as part of our ongoing support for Freefilmers, a collective of filmmakers and artists originally from Mariupol, Ukraine.

  • 3 rarely-seen gems from Central Asia: a 1960s Kyrgyz classic White Mountains, featuring an original English translation, and two strange and comedic Qazaq documentaries from the early 1990s.

The online screening pass gives you access to the entire programme for only £10!

accessibility

Films feature subtitles in English. Czech animations, War Songs, and White Mountains also include descriptive subtitles.

Just like with our in-person programme, if costs are a financial barrier to you seeing the films, you can apply to our Audience Access Fund. We can cover 50% of the online screening pass costs, or the full amount. The fund is open to anyone who needs support – for example, if you are an asylum seeker or refugee, disabled, unemployed, or facing other financial challenges. No proof of eligibility is required.
